What is Varsity EVP?

What do parents need to know to be prepared for a fun event?

1. Players do not need a coach and probably would rather not hear their parents coaching from the sidelines either (unless the parent has already established that role).  Varsity EVP will have a tournament director that is USAV IMPACT certified that will help answer questions for the players and parents.

2. Outdoor versus indoor volleyball rules will be explained during players meeting at check-in from 8:30-9A.

3. Also during check-in, Varsity EVP will take individual player photos in front of the EVP backdrop that will be used on the website (with the parent's permission) that players/parents may share on Instagram or Facebook.

4. Parents are not required to bring pop-up tents or chairs but additional shade and seating may be needed to watch games on court 4.  There are permanent benches under a ramada near court 1.  Varsity EVP recommends the players have a chair or towel during scorekeeping duties.

5. Parents are also recommended to bring water/drinks, snacks, towels, sunscreen, and hand sanitizer for their kids that are participating in the Varsity EVP event; however, these items are not required.

5. Varsity EVP will provide a PA system with a kid-friendly music playlist but players/parents are welcome to bring their iPods or request songs.

6. There will be designated times to water the court to help keep the sand cool.  Although Gene Autry Park has a sprinkler system, Varsity EVP will provide sand socks for $20/pair to help keep the player's feet cool in hotter areas of the sand.

7. Parents are allowed to leave during the event but players could finish as early as 12:00P.
